About Nigel Padbury
Nigel Padbury studied Agricultural Botany at University of Wales, Aberystwyth, before taking a post as oilseed rape breeder for Twyford Seeds. Subsequent roles include; Product Management in oilseeds and pulses for CPB-Twyford; and management of Syngenta’s oilseed and maize seed portfolio in North West Europe; before taking up his current position as Seeds Manager for Premium Crops. Today he is responsible for the sourcing, testing and seed production of varieties and seed for the Premium Crops’ portfolio, the UK’s widest range of added value arable crops. A qualified Crop Inspector for ‘Miscellaneous Crops’, Nigel has on several occasions held positions as Chair of the British Society of Plant Breeder’s Crop Group for both Oilseeds and Maize and was formerly a member of the National Non-Food Crop Centre’s Board of Sponsors. Today he remains Premium Crops’ company representative with both organisations.
