About Charles Trotman
Dr Charles Trotman is CLA’s Senior Rural Business and Economics Adviser. He is responsible for all rural economic issues affecting the CLA’s membership as well as leading on telecommunications, rural development and rural tourism. Prior to joining the CLA in 2002, he worked in Brussels as an economic analyst and worked at the NFU.
This seminar will set out the latest developments regarding rural funding in the medium and long term. It will examine the options available to government and how these are likely to affect rural funding, particularly grants and financial instruments. The seminar will also look at how new funding streams will affect key economic sectors, such as rural tourism.
